Your questions answered

Is it compulsory for students to have insurance?
Yes. As a professional education provider Study Group take student safety and security very seriously. That is why we insist that all out students are appropriately insured during their time with us.

How do students take advantage of the cover?
For your convenience, at the time of student enrolment StudyCare insurance will be automatically allocated and invoiced unless the student can provide proof of alternative adequate cover.

When will the cover start?
Cover for cancellation expenses starts from the moment the student has paid the insurance fee in full. Cover for the remaining sections starts from the inclusive dates for which cover is required. These dates will include time for their journey to their study destination and return home.

What will the student receive as proof of cover?
The Study Group invoice will show that the student has been charged for insurance. All joining instructions will have the 24-hour ACE European Group Limited Rescue emergency telephone number in the event that the student will need assistance whilst en route. The student's Study Group reference number is their StudyCare policy number.

What happens if the student cancels or changes their course?
StudyCare includes cancellation and curtailment cover. Tuition and accommodation fees up to a certain level are covered if the student has to cancel because of illness or accident. If the student changes their course, we will change the insurance period to suit the length of the course and travelling times, without penalty.

Who should the student contact to make a claim?
The student should contact the Student Services department who will advise and help deal with the claim and the insurance company.

Will the student have to pay excess against any claims?
In some cases the student will have to cover the excess themselves. Full details are set out in the StudyCare policy booklet.
