University of Stirling International Study Centre

ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL STUDY CENTRE

The University of Stirling International Study Centre is based at the heart of the campus. It delivers the Undergraduate Certificate – a specialist programme for international students which replaces the first year of Stirling’s four-year Honours degree and so leads directly to the second year of an undergraduate course.

Located at the heart of campus

The International Study Centre is based in the Cottrell Building, at the very centre of campus. As such, it is convenient for all academic and social facilities and is just a short walk from the student residences.

Specially developed for International Students

The Undergraduate Certificate is fully validated by the University. The programme has been carefully developed to offer the very best path to second year degree entry. It is a rigorous and academically demanding course that is designed specifically to fully prepare students for the rest of their degree study at the University.

Direct progression to the Second Year of your degree

Joining the Undergraduate Certificate at the International Study Centre guarantees that students will receive a conditional offer of a degree place at the University. On successful completion of the course and having met the required entry standards, students will proceed directly to the second year of your preferred degree programme.

Access to University Facilities

Students will be part of the University from the day they start their course. As well as benefiting from specific resources for use by students at the International Study Centre, they will have access to a range of University facilities including IT services, the University library and the Students’ Association.

Personal monitoring and support

Student progress will be carefully monitored at all times by dedicated staff at the International Study Centre to make sure they remain on track to successfully complete the programme.

Flexible entry

Students can begin the Undergraduate Certificate at the International Study Centre in either September or January for second year degree entry in the following September.
